Hello, welcome to my blog!

If I donโ€™t know you yet, my name is Morgan (or Mo), and I am going on the World Race, a nine-month gap year mission trip. I leave in just 17 days, starting out in training camp for about six weeks, and then I will be traveling to Colombia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and South Africa! My squad and I will be serving in various ways, making connections with those around us, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. This is where I will be posting updates and stories about my adventures and what my life looks like on the mission field!

A little bit about me:

I am from Atlanta, Georgia, and I am the second of five siblings: two brothers and two sistersโ€ฆ and a dog. I have danced for 13 years, mostly ballet but I have done all styles at some point. I have worked at a coffee shop for 4 years, and my favorite things to do is hang out with friends and visit all the other local coffee shops (I am currently writing this blog at one ๐Ÿ˜„). I have gone to multiple different hybrid schools, and before that, I was entirely homeschooled. My high school experience looked a lot different from most people with my days mostly filled with work and dance, but I honestly wouldnโ€™t trade it for anything. When I return from the race, I will be attending Samford University in Alabama and potentially studying nutrition.

How I got involved in the World Race:

As many of yโ€™all know, my older brother went on the race two years ago. He is really the reason for how I know about the Race and he was my biggest encourager when it came to the decision of what to do after high school. Before last summer, I always told myself that I was going to college immediately after high school, but when my brother got back, things changed. I saw how much he grew in knowledge and wisdom of the Lord, and how he was truly transformed by his experiences on the race. I wanted that. As I began to pray for direction, my longing for deep connection with the Lord strengthened, and my desire to be changed by the Lord increased. I browsed the World Race website one day, set up a few calls, and before I knew it, I was committed! I am very excited for what the Lord has for me this year, and even though Iโ€™m a bit nervous, I know I have my squad to connect with and the Lord to lean on. โ€œThe steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way.โ€ Psalm 37:23

Praise and Prayer:

In each blog, Iโ€™m going to write both a praise and a prayer request to keep yโ€™all updated on how the Lord is personally working in my life. My praise is that Iโ€™m 100% funded!! The Lord truly provided through yโ€™all, and I am so grateful to everyone who donated. As the days continue to count down, I would love prayers for preparation as my squad and I get ready to launch, and prayers that the Lord would give us joyful and servant hearts. I would also love prayers for everyone we will encounter, and that the Lord would open their eyes to see Him and His faithfulness.ย

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me in this journey so far, whether through donations, prayers, or even just reading this blog ๐Ÿ˜Šย I will be posting regularly on here, hopefully every couple weeks (wifi connection permitting), so stay tuned for updates! Please reach out if you have any questions or want to talk, I would love to connect with you!ย

In Christ,

Moย
